Schools Without Borders (SWB) is a youth-run, Canadian charity that
is responding to the need to make learning more accessible for today's youth.
What We Do
In partnership with dynamic and established NGOs in Canada, Brazil, Kenya,
Nepal, India, and Thailand, SWB provides hands-on/project-based learning
experiences for today's youth that:
 | | |
| 1. | Create positive spaces for young people to develop their skills, experiences and confidence; |
| 2. | Provide guidance for youth to turn raw idealism into responsible action; |
| 3. | Build durable community networks that allow youth to learn from each other by sharing their culture and experiences. |
Currently we run Community Projects in Brazil and Kenya, Volunteer Placements
abroad, arts-based community development initiatives and are creating a youth
resource centre with the "Re-Mix" project in Toronto.
Our Mission
To develop lasting learning communities through innovative youth-led initiatives
that facilitate youth engagement and responsible leadership.
Our Vision
Encouraging youth to "be connected, get informed, and start something."
At Schools Without Borders we believe in the power and strength of young
people to make meaningful contributions towards the betterment of their own
communities and the world at large. We have seen the positive and multiplying
effects that accessible learning can have on today's youth and will continue to
develop effective tools and resources to further engage young people worldwide.
